Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, a sports injury, or just want to move better, our goal is to help you return to life stronger and more resilient.

What is physical therapy — and how does it work?

Physical therapy is a hands-on, movement-based approach to restoring function, reducing pain, and helping you move with more confidence and ease. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or trying to prevent one, physical therapy helps improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. At Peak Motion Performance Physiotherapy, we create personalized plans based on your goals, lifestyle, and movement patterns — designed to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Who should consider physical therapy?

You don’t need to be post-surgery or a high-level athlete to benefit from PT. We work with active adults, weekend warriors, runners, and anyone who wants to move better or get out of pain. If you’re experiencing stiffness, discomfort with daily tasks, or persistent aches that don’t seem to resolve, physical therapy may be the missing piece.

Do I need a referral or imaging before getting started?

In Tennessee, you can see a physical therapist directly without a referral. Most patients can be evaluated and begin treatment right away. If imaging or a physician referral is appropriate, we’ll help coordinate that step. We’re trained to assess, treat, and guide you to the right resources when needed.

What should I expect during my first physical therapy visit?

Your first session includes a thorough conversation about your health history, movement habits, and goals. We’ll assess how you move, where limitations might exist, and what’s contributing to your pain or performance challenges. From there, we build a customized plan — which may include manual therapy, dry needling, mobility drills, and strength training — designed to help you return to what matters most.

What makes Peak Motion different?

At Peak Motion, you’ll work directly with a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in a dedicated 1-on-1 setting. We focus on individualized care that allows us to spend more time understanding and addressing your specific needs. We operate independently of insurance networks, which gives us the flexibility to prioritize the most effective strategies for your recovery. If you have out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide a superbill to support reimbursement.

How do I know if physical therapy is right for me?

If you’re dealing with pain, limited movement, or recurring injuries — or simply want to move better and stay strong — physical therapy offers a proactive, evidence-based solution. Whether you’re trying to return to activity, prevent surgery, or simply understand what’s going on, we’re here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
