Chronic Pain

Long-Term Pain Relief

Regain Control and Movement

Chronic Pain Treatment through physical therapy takes a whole-person approach to reduce pain and restore function. We combine hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, movement retraining, and a pain science-informed approach to address the nervous system’s sensitivity and break the pain cycle. Treatment is customized to each individual and may include mobility work, graded exposure to movement, strength training, and education to build confidence, improve quality of life, and help you get back to doing what you love.

What qualifies as chronic pain — and why does it feel so complex?

Chronic pain refers to pain lasting more than three months. It may have started with an injury or seemed to come out of nowhere. Over time, it often becomes more widespread, persistent, or inconsistent. You might feel fine one day, then limited the next — without doing anything “wrong.” That unpredictability can be frustrating, but it doesn’t mean your body is broken. It just means it’s time for a new strategy.

Who is this for?

This service is designed for active adults and motivated individuals who’ve dealt with nagging pain that just won’t go away. Whether it’s lingering back pain, recurring joint discomfort, or nerve-like symptoms that don’t respond to stretching or rest — we can help. If you’ve seen multiple providers, had imaging that didn’t explain your symptoms, or feel like you’ve hit a wall, you’re exactly who we work with.

What makes your approach different?

At Peak Motion Performance Physiotherapy, we take a modern approach to chronic pain care. Every session is 1-on-1, giving us time to understand your experience and tailor your plan. We combine movement-based rehab with hands-on therapy and pain science education to help you rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence. Instead of avoiding movement, we gradually retrain your system to handle it — safely and effectively.

What will happen in my first visit?

We start by listening. We want to understand how the pain has evolved, what makes it better or worse, and how it’s affecting your daily life. We’ll then assess how you move, identifying areas of stiffness, weakness, or compensation. From there, we’ll outline a plan that blends manual therapy, movement strategies, and progressive loading — all based on how you respond, not just a generic protocol.

How does pain science education help?

Pain science education helps you understand how pain behaves — why it sometimes sticks around, flares up, or responds to factors like sleep, stress, and past experiences. When you understand the why, it becomes easier to shift out of the fear-avoidance cycle and start moving again. We’ll teach you how to calm the nervous system, reintroduce safe movement, and avoid the boom-bust cycle of overdoing it or shutting down completely.

Is there hope for long-term improvement?

With the right combination of guidance, consistent movement, and education, your body can become less reactive and more resilient. Our goal isn’t just short-term relief — it’s restoring your freedom to move and live confidently again, without feeling held back by pain.
